   o Summer of 1976 Punk was born in London
   o Typically young unemployed people and students (many from art schools)
   o Offered fetishistic leather and bondage styles
   o Main goal was to SHOCK people
   o Almost entirely black and threatening
• Constructing Outfits
   o While designers designed and sold full outfits it was becoming popular to create your own look with different pieces from different lines
         • A trend to mix and match
         • Secondhand shops became popular as well as ethnic boutiques
