Facts:



• Bathing suits started to first appear around 1918 and as water sports increased the style of swimwear changed too.
• As more men joined the armed forces around 1916 and on women were expected to replace them in the workforce and as a result many women began to wear trousers. 

   o Trousers were normally just worn at the workplace.
